Per , Hilal have reached an agreement to sign Nunez from Liverpool as the Reds continue their hunt to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle. The club are said to be eyeing a British-record deal worth in excess of £150m ($200m), and they are looking to fund that pursuit by shifting the Uruguay striker.

Nunez joined the Reds in a deal worth £57m ($76m) in 2022 and the club are poised to essentially get their money back. The former Benfica striker struggled immensely at Anfield, scoring just 40 goals in 143 games in all competitions. In the Premier League, he netted 25 goals in 95 games.
